TRAVEL

LONG ISLAND RAILROAD

You can take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from Penn Station in New York City. There is no direct train to Riverhead, so you will need to transfer at Ronkonkoma. The total travel time is about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

HAMPTON JITNEY BUS

The Hampton Jitney offers a direct bus service from New York City to Riverhead,
with a travel time of approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes.

CROSS SOUND FERRY

New London, CT to Orient Point, LI

For those traveling from the Boston area, the Cross Sound Ferry is a great way to cut out driving time. Head to New London, CT, and take the ferry to Orient Point, Long Island. Cars are permitted on the ferry. The ride is about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Orient Point, you'll be just a short drive away from our wedding venue. We recommend booking ferry tickets in advance to secure your spot.

TRANSPORTATION ON THE NORTH FORK

If you’re staying at the Indigo or Hyatt, we will be providing transportation to and from the wedding venue. After the reception, the shuttle will make a stop at the after-party location - The Preston Hotel - for those who want to keep the celebration going. (The Preston Hotel is directly across the street from the Hyatt.)

Shuttle Departure Times:

Indigo: Departs at 3:45 PM for Bedell Cellars
Hyatt: Departs at 4:00 PM for Bedell Cellars

Please note that Lyft and Uber availability may be limited throughout the North Fork. If you're not staying at the Indigo or Hyatt, we recommend arranging transportation to and from the wedding in advance through a local taxi service.

A DAY ON THE NORTH FORK


| MORNING |

Grab a cup of ☕freshly brewed coffee at Hampton Coffee Company in Aquebogue to start the day. Continue to Mattituck and stop at Love Lane Kitchen for a farm-to-table breakfast. Explore Love Lane's cute boutiques and shops. Stop at North Fork Doughnut Company.

| AFTERNOON |

Head over to 🍷Croteaux Vineyards in Southold, a rose-only winery, to sip rosé in its French-inspired garden setting. If rosé isn’t your thing, we also love Kontokosta and Sparkling Pointe.

Stop for lunch at The Halyard at the Sound View Hotel for lobster rolls with panoramic water views.

Head over to Greenport Village. Stroll through the heart of Greenport where you’ll find boutique shops, galleries and restaurants. For lunch in Greenport we love Claudio's, Noah's, The Frisky Oyster, Bruce & Sons, Ellen's on Front.

After Greenport, continue to Lavender By the Bay in East Marion to walk through scenic lavender fields or grab beers at Greenport Harbor Brewery in Peconic.

Cap off the day with a peaceful walk or drive at 🌅 Orient Point State Park.

Head back into Greenport for a happy hour drink at American Beech. Grab dinner at Noah's or The Frisky Oyster.

Stop at 🥧 Briermere farms before heading off the North Fork for their legendary pies.

Stop for lunch at Farm Country Kitchen in Riverhead served in a beautiful outdoor setting along the river.

THE FIRST
DATE

Ron and Sammy swiped right on each other on Hinge in October 2021. They spent their first date chatting for hours perched on two barstools at Pete’s Tavern in NYC. A few months later, during a New Year’s trip, Ron asked Sammy to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history.

THE
PROPOSAL

On the day of their engagement, Ron told Sammy to be ready for a night out in Miami. They arrived at a marina and sailed around the harbor, where Ron popped the question! Following the proposal, the two celebrated with spicy rigatoni at Carbone.
